Signage and signposting systems

Challenge

As part of the implementation process for their customer experience strategy in their shopping centres, Unibail-Rodamco – a leading European company in the shopping centre sector with a portfolio valued at over 24 billion euros and the owner and manager of over 75 centres – determined the need to introduce signage systems that would help to improve the visitor experience.

To put this strategy into action in Spain, we were put in charge of developing the signage programmes at their four major centres: La Maquinista and Glòries in Barcelona, and La Vaguada and Parquesur in Madrid. We first performed a signage audit at each shopping centre to determine the types of signs that should be used, their placement within the layout of each centre and their content. We later defined the graphic aspects and delivered the definitive designs for the production and installation of each sign.
